Washing Your Intimates |
Many lingerie designers recommend hand-washing your lingerie only. The delicate laces and embroideries will last longer if washed gently by hand.
Some lingerie brands have even created their own lingerie detergents, which are different from regular harsh detergents and soap powders. They are specially formulated to care for your delicate purchase and is suitable for sensitive skins. We recommend these detergents to ensure comfort, durability and wearability of your intimate apparel.
If you prefer to machine wash, wash in cold water with like colors or separately always using a lingerie wash bag. Always wash colors separately, including similar lingerie products. Remember to hook, fasten or buckle products before you wash.
Avoid washing you lingerie loosely with other products. Because of their delicate structure, many lingerie items can get twisted and stretched in this process. Avoid soaking or bleaching intimates in order to retain color and structure. Also avoid detergents you normally use with your other laundry. |

Dry Cleaning Your Lingerie |
Unlike lace and lycra ingerie items, silk garments should be dry cleaned only, unless the tag specifies otherwise. This is to prevent careless washing of silk, a strong fabric but at the same time a protein fiber, like hair. |

Drying Your Intimate Apparel |
Never, ever put bras in the dryer. Instead, after washing, clip them to a clothesline or hang them on a drying rack. Some do not follow this advice and the bras and most lingerie items get dumped in the dryer without even thinking about it. Keep your lingerie away from sunlight too to avoid fading. Avoid shrinkage and prolong life by hanging bras to air-dry instead of machine-drying them.
If it really is that necessary for you to use a dryer, a wash bag should be used and the machine setting should be tumble dry on a gentle cycle. Cool or low should be the set temperature. |

Lingerie Bags |
| For those moments when your lingerie is vital to some weekend get-away, take extra care packing so that your cosmetics and toiletries don't leak onto your bras and panties and damage the colors. Pack bras and panties into lingerie bag just as you would if placing them in your dresser: fold them and keep them away from anything that might snag them (watch out for Velcro closures in your suitcase). |
