Thanks to the Colombian craftwork, exquisite handmade embroideries, crochet decorative details and touches in visible and thick threads, the traditional classical bikinis are swimsuits in Agua Bendita interpretation had now become simply impossible to ignore.
The matching accessories line, inspired by the creatures inhabiting the sea depths, radiated the same happiness and mirroring the same color palette and a combination of different textures as was present in Agua Bendita swimsuits. Various ready-to-wear pieces such as t-shirts, tank tops, shorts, pareos, and cover-ups, as well as an array of accessories, such as bracelets, earrings, necklaces, bags, and sandal, which were designed to complete the look, were also present in Agua Cosmos collection. The Agua Cosmos collection was designed to celebrate women that could be the goddesses of the sea, dressed with the fantastic touch.
The 2009 Agua Bendita Collection, called "Alusina Melusina” drew its name and theme from the legendary figure of the European folklore tradition, a fairy Melusina, a feminine spirit of fresh waters in sacred springs and rivers, who lived in the dense forests with its lagoons, cascades, grottos and mysterious places. Once, she turned into a swan – an immaculate bird of light – in order to observe her paradise from the sky, and flew towards the water mirrors that formed in the highest parts of the forest. There, in her favorite place, Melusina showed her powerful magic. At night, when she turned into her human form, she dazzled with her beauty to any onlooker who had the joy of seeing her sing and danced happily among the forest fireflies. Appearing out of thin air, luminous, mysterious, and beautiful, the fairy would then turn her eyes to the one desired by her heart. Her image was an experience from the forest, cascades and crystalline lagoons.

Drawing their inspiration from this magical character, Catalina Alvarez and Mariana Hinestroza, the designers of Agua Bendita, tried to depart from the traditional summer and beach theme and created an unprecedented swimwear collection. The use of vibrant colors taken from nature, the perfect balance between flirty and elegant, the abundance of romantic and subtle details, all work together to accentuate the strength and sensuality that are so characteristic of Agua Bendita brand style.
The new 2010 Agua Bendita Swimwear Collection, called "Heavenly Delights", is inspired by the sweet treats of the imaginary pastry shop.
Alive, brilliant and fluorescent colours, diverse textures and the traditional mixture between manual crafting and technology are some of the characteristics of the swim pieces and accessories that will be seen at the closing night in Colombiamoda. Some of the pieces, like the hand sewn chemises, require up to 20 days of manual labor. Designers have followed each step in the process to be sure that the collection impacts for its beauty, and also for its comfort and quality.
Silhouettes and patterns remain basic since the impact concentrates in the mix of materials, textures and colours.
