Anna Molinari has created designs that have become true cult objects, like the t-shirt with Swarovski crystal logo, and the famous Blu-Vi, the cashmere cardigan with mink v-neck that has been photographed on some of Holliwood's greatest stars.

Anna Molinari was born in the 50’s Capri, Italy. Her mother was her teacher and her muse, inspiring her with a love for making clothes, and teaching her stitching techniques. She and her husband Gianpaolo Tarabini established her label in 1977. At that time, she opened a house which produced knitwear, a selection of which remains in her collections in the form of sweater-girl shapes, sometimes trimmed with diamante. Later, with the help of Italian fashion designer MOSCHINO, Anna Molinari began designing other garments, developing a look of edgy romanticism. She creates sexy clothes, often using a formula that combines brief hemlines and sheer fabrics. In so doing, she takes the clothes off the street and into the realm of designer clothing.

She has a second line called Blumarine, for the younger clientele. Her daughter Rossella Tarabini now oversees the Anna Molinari collections. She was born in 1968 and studied in Paris and London before taking over the design for the family house in 1995. Anna Molinari's son Gianguido Tarabini  looks after the Menswear lines.

Style and image: Anna Molinari entrusted Blumarine's advertising campaigns to renowned photographers, such as Helmut Newton and Albert Watson, who portray top models of the caliber of Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Eva Herzigova, Helena Christiansen, Carla Bruni, Carre Otis and Monica Bellucci. For Anna Molinari, fashion is a mixture of sensations and cultural influences, from the past and towards the future, for a sexy, feminine and playful modern woman, such as herself.

Gianguido Tarabini joined the company in 1992, became Director of Licensing in 2004, and since the death of his father in 2006 has been the CEO in charge of all the company's commercial affairs. He is also responsible for the Hotel Touring owned directly by his mother, Anna Molinari, separately from Blufin.

Rossella Tarabini was born on Carpi on August 28, 1968. She attended the Linguistic Grammar school of Modena and then the DAMS of Bologna. Later she moved to London, being attracted by the cosmopolitan energy of the city. Aside from perfecting her knowledge of English, she continued to study art in its expression. Upon her return in Italy she joined the family business, the Blumarine company, where initially she was a crative manage of the advertising campaigns and the artistic director of the fashion shows.

Rosella's determined collaboration was yet another confirmation of her passion for for fashion. In 1995, she became creatively independent by creating her first collection for another important company label, Anna Molinari, which brought her international acknowledgment and attention for her unique personal style.
