Apple's Next Bet: A Trio of AI Wearables Reportedly in Development

Share:

Apple is moving quickly on a new category of devices. According to a new report from Bloomberg, the company is accelerating development on three separate AI-powered wearables, signaling a major push beyond the iPhone. This follows a report last month from The Information detailing a small, camera-equipped AI pendant designed to be worn on clothing.

The portfolio reportedly includes the pendant, a pair of AI-enhanced smart glasses known internally as N50, and a new version of AirPods with advanced AI features. All three products are said to be designed to work intimately with the iPhone, using Siri as a central interface.

Apple faces established competition, particularly in smart glasses from Meta. The company's own glasses, described as more premium and capable than its other wearables, are said to include a high-resolution camera. Production could begin by December, targeting a 2027 release.

The push underscores Apple's strategy to embed artificial intelligence directly into personal accessories. Rather than a single device, the company appears to be building an interconnected suite of AI tools worn on the body. Apple did not respond to requests for comment on the report.
